IT'S NOT THE WILL TO WIN, BUT THE WILL TO PREPARE TO WIN THAT MAKES THE DIFFERENCE

It is sometimes easy to think we have evolved, because of our incredible skill level and vast exoerience beyond certain drills, thinking they are for younger or newer players. I remember using the cone drill (you know the one were you dribble around the cones) all the time but then dropped it because I thought my 16 year old boys where beyond such a simple drill.

However on future trips back to England I started spending a good part of my time at proffessional soccer team practices and watched these seasoned, well-paid proffessionals doing the same drill. Of course they had a much more expensive obstacle course than a bunch of small cones, but the drill was in essence the same. It is the same with juggling the ball. A good 15 minutes during every practice was spent with the players just juggling.

Any drill that puts the ball at your feet will improve your skill if you persist at it.
