What a tail we have to tell. From beginning to end, who would have guessed how bending and treacherous our road would have been this year.

I guess the true test of champions is how they deal with the many experiences they encounter along their path. I watched as I saw you come together and truly became a team. You excelled in every aspect of our game. You demonstrated your soccer skills, your teamanship but most of all your extraordinary high standards both as a team and as individuals.

This maybe be goodbye for now, but I wish you all good fortune, success and every opportunity to grow and evolve into even greater human beings and maybe we will bump into each other again down that bending and somewhat hazardous road.

For me you will always be champions and on a more personal level, “my champions.”

Coach Wright

To our younger men on the JV and/or played Varsity; thank you also for the great contribution you made to this season. I've always considered myself lucky when it came to the quality of young men that always seemed to tryout for soccer, and you were not a dissapointment. Your standards and quality of play were exceptional. I enjoyed knowing you for this short time and hope you will continue to hone your skills. There is plenty of information on this website as well as playing on a team this Fall. Always remember it takes committment, dedication and hardwork to build champions and I still have that hope that before you guys graduate you will be state champions. I hope I have left something for you all to build on. Good luck to you all.

Hey Guys, we had some good times, we had some bad times. Remember the beginning of the season, when Thomas White fell flat on his face at practice? Man that was funny, thanks for the laugh Thomas (even though it hurt). Remember our last game against Spanish Fork? Matt Cannon couldn't stop smiling after he scored the winning goal in overtime, and we all rushed the field. I know there are things we will all remember for the rest of our lives. You guys are great!

Keep playing soccer. Remember who you are. I will miss you. I hope to be back coaching at the high school sometime in the future. I hope to have the time to come and help on occasion un till then. And hope to see some of you at the games. For you guys still at the high school, Springville Red Devils still have never had a State Title, you guys will make history.
See ya around.
